Michael J. Schlesinger
Vice President
Michael J. Schlesinger joined Millennium Realty Investors in February 2004. Mr. Schlesinger is responsible for the acquisition and asset management of Millennium’s portfolio of multifamily and industrial properties in California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida. In 2005, Mr. Schlesinger was instrumental in closing more than $60 million worth of property across the United States.
Prior to joining Millennium Realty Investors, Mr. Schlesinger was an Associate with Cushman & Wakefield and specialized exclusively in multifamily transactions of all sizes in the western United States. The combined efforts of the Apartment Group successfully yielded over 50 completed transactions over the past five years. Major national and international institutions represented by Cushman & Wakefield include Archstone Communities, RREEF, Equity Residential, Teachers Insurance & Annuity, and Heitman.
Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Mr. Schlesinger spent three years with the Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund as an asset manager and financial controller. Mr. Schlesinger specialized in the financial analysis, underwriting and management of multifamily assets, office properties and residential land developments throughout Southern California.
Prior to joining Morgan Stanley, Mr. Schlesinger spent five years a Coopers & Lybrand LLP (currently Pricewaterhouse Coopers, LLP). As a manager in their Business Assurance Services Group, Mr. Schlesinger was responsible for the financial statement audits of primarily financial services clients including real estate advisors, mutual funds and hedge funds.
